SCHOOL PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
DB-TC School is seeking a School Secretary/Administrative Assistant to the Principal with the following qualities:

Primary purpose:
The school administrative assistant/principal’s secretary will work with principals, teachers, support staff, students, and families to help ensure the smooth operation of the school by providing a consistently positive welcome, performing necessary office functions, managing the student data system PowerSchool, and assisting all as needed.
Qualifications:
The school administrative assistant must
- Meet criminal history background check requirements.
- Demonstrate good attendance and punctuality.
- Demonstrate strong written/verbal communication/interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
- Hold a high school diploma (minimum).
Responsibilities:
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
The school administrative assistant will
- Assist school principal and teachers as requested.
- Manage and oversee student data system (PowerSchool).
- Perform receptionist duties such as phone answering and visitor welcoming with positivity and respect for all.
- Write, email, and post daily school announcements.
- Perform typing, data entry, filing, and other general office tasks.
- Assist with students who are injured or ill, and call parents.
- Act as student attendance secretary; keep attendance records up-to-date.
- Maintain student files (CA-60s).
- Assist students and adults who come to the office.
- Assign locker numbers and manage student locker issues.
- Manage and upload and provide student transcripts.
- Assist with/Complete state reports as needed.
- Manage documentation of teacher professional development.
- Regularly input office discipline referrals into data system.
- Track student tardies and absences and notify students of resulting detentions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical requirements:
The school administrative assistant must be able to
- Sit/Stand for extended periods of time.
- Be able to continuously talk and/or listen.
- Bend/Squat/Reach as needed.
Terms of employment and schedule:
- School year plus 2-3 weeks on both ends, plus 2-3 days/wk through summer.
- PTO and wages according to support staff contract (currently $14.75/hr)
- 8 a.m.-4 p.m. (one 30-minute unpaid lunch break); 7.5 hour work day

MS/HS SPECIAL EDUCATION/GENERAL EDUCATION TEACHER
Dollar Bay-Tamarack City Area Schools is seeking one full-time teacher. This job will be a combination of both special education (¾ time) and general education (¼ time), grades 6-12.
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement(s) or willingness to pursue special ed certification
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate or willingness to pursue a teaching certification, with current qualifications meeting Michigan Department of Education minimum requirements for temporary certification
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Flexible, open minded, self-driven
Responsibilities:
- Service special education students in both resource and inclusive settings, in compliance with IEPs, utilizing research-based interventions
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt lessons for students with IEPs when necessary
- Communicate effectively with members of IEP teams to appropriately meet student needs
- Conduct IEP meetings, meeting all applicable deadlines and requirements
- Provide leadership in instruction and educational planning
- Organize and administer class lesson plans and demonstrate knowledge of the Michigan state standards and benchmarks

JUNIOR VARSITY VOLLEYBALL COACH
Dollar Bay-Tamarack City Area School is looking for a Junior varsity volleyball coach.
Season runs early August - early November
The JV volleyball coach will plan and run practices ,coach/attend all games, regularly communicate with student athletes and parents, keep schedule/calendar up to date, and work closely with the varsity coach.
