NHS
The National Honor Society is an organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Our local chapter, the Grace Gaffney Chapter, was started in 1976. Since that time, Dollar Bay High School students have been inducted into this chapter.
To be a member of the National Honor Society, a student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher and be in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade. Students who meet qualifications must also apply to NHS, citing examples of character, achievement, leadership, and service to the school and community. Inductees are honored each spring at the National Honor Society ceremony.
