BOYS DISTRICT BASKETBALL TOURNAMENTS
Update:
As of 4 p.m. Friday, 360 tickets have been sold for tonight's game. Up to 380 will be sold in advance. Those with tickets will be allowed into the gym at 6 p.m. For those still needing to purchase tickets, sales will re-start at 6:15 p.m. in the school lobby.
Dollar Bay High School is pleased to host the Boys’ Class D District Basketball Tournaments March 5, 7, and 9.
The games will feature Baraga, Chassell, Dollar Bay, Lake Linden-Hubbell, Ontonagon, and Painesdale-Jeffers. Tickets for live and streamed viewing at DBHS cost $5 per game, and will be available for purchase before each contest. Monday and Wednesday games begin at 5:30 and 7:30. Friday’s final game will begin at 7:00. Doors open for 5:30 games at 4:30, and for Friday's 7:00 game at 6:00 p.m. The gymnasium will be cleared between consecutive games.
Fans are strongly encouraged to carpool to Dollar Bay; local residents are asked to walk to the school. Parking, especially for 7:30 games, may be a challenge. Accordingly, please arrive early. Door #1 (lobby) will be the only entrance.
DB-TC is happy to offer additional seating in our auditorium for viewing of the event streamed by the NFHS Network, to those who arrive after gym seating is sold out. All tickets are $5. Others who may benefit from comfortable auditorium seating include the elderly, disabled persons, and families with young children. Seating in the gym is on bleachers; there will be no reserved seating. About 400 will fit in the gym, with fans on the bleachers and guest teams in the balcony; an additional 200 can fit in the auditorium--that's seating for 600 fans!
A 30-day NFHS membership will allow fans with internet access to watch all games off-site. Go to nfhsnetwork.com, click “join now,” and support Dollar Bay High School for $9.95. Radio listeners may tune their dials to WMPL 920AM to listen to the live broadcast.
Thank you for supporting Class D High School Basketball!
