Free Food during School Closure
Dear Parents of All DB-TC Students,
We are delighted to offer free food to all students whose families request it for the duration of the three-week school closure, starting Monday!
Who is eligible?
Each and every DB-TC student age 18 or under.
What is being offered?
Bags of groceries that contain all required elements of a healthy school lunch and breakfast for 21 days, one week (7-days’ worth of food) at a time.
When can families get the food?
Mondays (3/16, 3/23, and 3/30) between 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., to pick up the bags of food for the coming week. If families want the food and cannot drive to school to get it, please call Judy Klutts, Food Service Director, at 482-5800 x1131.
Where do I pick up the food?
Please enter through Door #1 on Ojibwa Trail. Then walk to the superintendent’s office on the first floor and “Ms. Judy” will be glad to assist you there.
Why?
We want to provide food to all of our students who may need it during the disruption caused by the 3-week school closure. We hope that offering the stability of reliable food will make a stressful time a bit easier. And we want our students eating nutritious foods!
How?
You MUST ORDER the food in advance. Fill out the “DB-TC School Closure Food Order Form” by Saturday, March 14, at 12 p.m., to indicate what weeks, and how many children, you are requesting the food items for. If you missed the deadline, but would like to order food for Week 2 or 3, please contact Judy Klutts.
